Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Trade Sathi collects, why, who it is shared with and the choices you have. It covers tradesathi.app and the app behind it.

What we collect

Account. Your email address and password. The password is handled by our sign-in provider and stored only in hashed form. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
Profile, if you add it. Name, phone number, profession and location, from Account Settings.
What you do in the app. The symbols and timeframes you analyse, chart images you upload or the app captures for an analysis, the analyses produced, your History, your Daily Briefing list and schedule, your credit balance and its history, codes you redeem, survey answers, and the error records shown in your Activity Logs.
Connection. Your IP address, which we look up on our own server, with no outside service, to estimate your country, region and city. We use it to set your pricing region, to show where you are signed in from, and to spot abuse. We also record when you were last active.
Payments. Purchases are switched off during the beta. When they are on, payments are handled by our payment provider, and we never see or store your card or bank details.

What we do not do

We run no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts, and we do not sell your personal data.

Storage in your browser

We keep your sign-in session and a few preferences in your browser's local storage, such as your theme, the chart or company you last opened, and an analysis that is still running, so the app picks up where you left it after a reload. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

To run the service: analyses, History, PDF exports and the Daily Briefing emails you set up.
To keep accounts secure and prevent abuse, for example one beta code per account and no disposable email addresses.
To answer you when you contact us.
To improve Trade Sathi, from how it is used and from survey answers.
To meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

Only the providers that run Trade Sathi for us, each for its own part:

Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
Render: hosts our API server.
Vercel: hosts the website.
Google (Gemini API) and DeepSeek: AI models that read chart images and price data to produce analyses. We send them the chart and market data, not your name or email address.
Resend: email delivery.

Market data sources such as Yahoo Finance and SEC EDGAR receive requests for symbols, never your personal data. Some of these providers process data outside India. We also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our users and the service.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law or to prevent abuse, such as the fact that a promo code was redeemed.

Your choices

See and correct your profile in Account Settings.
Ask for a copy of your data, or for your account and data to be deleted, by writing to us from the email address on your account.
Withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account. This ends the service for you.
If you have a complaint about how we handle your data, write to the same address and we will respond.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to it is restricted, and passwords are stored only in hashed form. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Children

Trade Sathi is for adults. Do not use it if you are under 18.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, along with the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
